Transforming the Reunification Process:
The TVH Difference

Before TVH was established, parent-child visitations took place in public spaces, which did not allow for meaningful bonding time. These challenges affected the ability to achieve timely reunification. Colleen Huff, Founder and Executive Director of TVH and the Founder of Family Transformations, a Parent Aid Agency, identified a need for more effective observation of parenting skills in community settings. TVH community homes provide a private space for visits where comprehensive observation of parenting capabilities can take place, including activities such as cooking, cleaning, multitasking with children, crafting, playing games, and reading together. This offers a home-like experience. We believe every family going through the reunification process should have access to this.

“ This visit experience was by far the best. The ability to be in a more home-like setting really allowed my children and I to bond. Being able to color, play outside, and have them together was wonderful. I definitely felt closer to my kids and not so limited. Thank you.”
